Please join us for a discussion of how jurisdictions can meet their affordable housing obligations through inclusionary zoning, in-lieu fees, and/or impact fees.
This workshop will address:

  • The pros and cons of in-lieu/impact fees and inclusionary units
  • Benefits and challenges of offering developers alternatives to building units on-site
  • Factors and trade-offs jurisdictions should consider when developing an inclusionary policy that either complements or replaces existing fees
  • How the cost of on-site inclusionary units compares to existing impact fees

This workshop is designed for local governments that are currently developing, revising, or considering inclusionary policies. Please RSVP to Carrie Dallman (cdallman@smcgov.org) by May 30, 2018.
